Thank You Dr. Raven at the Missouri Botanical Garden
Dr. Peter H. Raven, Missouri Botanical Garden president since 1971, will retire on September 1. He will remain active at the Garden as a consultant through 2014. Please join us in celebrating the man who has led the Garden through nearly four decades of unparalleled accomplishments. Remarks at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and remarks will be made by Mayor Francis Slay, County Executive Charlie Dooley and Arnold Donald, chair of the Garden’s Board of Trustees. To recognize Dr. Raven’s service to the Garden, a limited number of Metasequoia glyptostroboides ‘Raven’ Shaw’s Legacy® Dawn Redwoods will be available for purchase. Pesto Festo at Greenscape Gardens
Learn how to make pesto in a fun atmosphere! Bring an ingredient to use for preparing pesto, and take home a free jar! The ingredients needed are: basil, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts or walnuts, and garlic. This event will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. at Greenscape Gardens, 2832 Barrett Station Rd.
